How does AIDme work?

The AIDme system works with most of the latest generation smartphones. You can check the list of compatible models and how to activate the NFC reader. To activate it, bring your smartphone closer to the AIDme logo on the bracelet. A page will be displayed where, by selecting “Modify” you will be able to enter your medical data and emergency contacts. You will be asked for a 6-digit code to protect your data and an email, needed only to restore the system to its previous settings. To view the information, move your smartphone closer to the word AIDme.

Do I have to fill in all the fields?

No. You can enter the information that you deem useful for you or for an emergency. The only mandatory fields are a password and an email. You can enter any type of information. Audens is not responsible for the information entered or for the use of the same.

Why a password?

The password is used to protect the modification of the data. Viewing the infos does not require a password.

Why do I have to provide my email?

The e-mail is necessary to restore the system to the initial settings in case you don’t remember the password or for any other need.

Does the company have access to my personal data?

No. The system doesn’t have a database and Audens cannot access the information entered. The system creates an encrypted file which is stored on the cloud servers with no possibility for the company to access its content. For this reason, if you forget your password, you need to reset the system. For this reason, no type of data profiling is possible.

How can I restore the system in case of need?

To restore AIDme to the initial settings, select at the bottom screen the “Factory data reset” option and follow the instructions. At the end of the procedure the saved data will be deleted.

How many times can I change the information contained in the bracelet?

There is no limit to the modification of information. To modify them, access the system, select the “Modify” function and enter the password.

Who can read the information entered in the bracelet?

AIDme is designed as a life-saving system and information can be read by anyone having a smartphone with the NFC reader.
